Music has always played an important role in my entire life. Both as a consumer and a producer. My favorite styles are techno, acid, postpunk, ebm, darkwave, ambient, underground hiphop, drum and bass, and all kinds of experimental electronic music. In addition, I also regularly provide graphic and photographic work for various artists and record labels. Music is essentially another, but also a very visual form of expression. When I hear music, I always can see images, and I am sure I am not alone in this.
My small studio is a combination of software and hardware
About 30 years ago, my own musical adventure began with the purchase of a Doepfer MS404, an analog rack synthesizer, which I still own. This was the start for building up a small home studio. In the 90s, I mainly produced techno and acidhouse tracks. Around 2000, the computer started to play an increasingly important role in creating electronic music. Nowadays, my small studio is a combination of software and hardware.
Lately I have been producing a lot of new music again
Especially in the last four years, I have been producing a lot of new music again. I don’t really have my own style, and I mainly experiment with all the amazing new instruments that are available nowadays. I do not aspire to a musical career and above all making music is something I just really enjoy. Enjoyment should always come first anyway. In these days everything revolves too much around trying to make money or seeking compliments online. It is much better to just enjoy working on something you really like, and no, you don’t have to share everything you create online.
