After studying many photographers’ and artists’ websites, I have ultimately decided to present my work in a slightly different way than usual. I have been working full-time in photography and art for over twenty years, and since I am very productive, I have thousands of works created from which I need to make a selection for a portfolio.
Not only photography or paintings
Additionally, my interest is not solely in photography or paintings alone. I work on photo series, paintings, collages, computer art, new media, music and sound, and lately I have also been writing a lot. Within these different disciplines, my work can be divided into various styles. Therefore, it is almost impossible to summarize my work in – for example – twenty works.
Throughout this year, I will attempt to add a concise portfolio page to this website as well, but at the moment, I have decided to showcase various series through articles and blog posts.
The impact of social media on art
Additionally, I find it important as an artist to have a voice and opinion – something that is becoming increasingly more difficult, especially on social media. Everything revolves around quickly consuming images, and our ability to focus has been significantly reduced in the last fifteen years due to the amount of information being rapidly fired at us. In short, I will take more time here to delve deeper into being an artist in a time where everything and everyone constantly demands attention.
The images in this post were taken with my very first digital camera, the Fuji Finepix S5500 from 2004, the year I decided to step full-time into photography and had no idea what a creative journey this would ultimately become.
I warmly welcome you to join me on this journey!
